Hear This Hammer Ring: A Preview of 2018’s Split This Rock Poets

Every two years, the Split This Rock Poetry Festival ("Poems of Provocation & Witness”) brings a fabulous array of authors to Washington, D.C. On the eve of this year’s gathering, and in celebration of National Poetry Month, join award-winning local author Sandra Beasley for a guided tour of poems by

2018 Split This Rock headliners including Ellen Bass, Kwame Dawes, Sharon Olds, Solmaz Sharif, and Javier Zamora. Participants will be given hand-outs of individual poems, which we will read and discuss together; collections by the featured authors will be available for purchase. No expertise required—all are welcome.
