As Liberal governments step up their attacks on workers rights, it is more important than ever that we have a big turnout at May Day and build the campaign to #ChangeTheRules
Whether it’s penalty rates, supporting the right to strike or standing with unions against politicised attacks, the Greens are
committed to protecting your rights at work.
May Day is the day workers unite to celebrate our achievements and recognise the struggle of all workers around the world!
What we’ve achieved:
• Sick Leave
• Annual Leave
• Paid Maternity Leave
But there’s still more work to be done!
• Wage growth is at a 70 year low
• Rising income inequality, housing and rental affordability
• Casualisation of work and underemployment is at epidemic levels
• Closing the Gender Pay Gap
It’s clear the rules are broken and the system is stacked against everyday Australians.
This May Day workers will rally together to say:
It’s Time To Change the Rules... to stand up, fight back and restore power to the people!
