Second Annual Fort Wayne’s Chase the Chill Scarf Bombing!
January 31st 2016 at 10:00AM
Freimann Square 200 East Main Street
What is a Chase the Chill Scarf Bombing? An annual scarf bombing event that distributes scarves in public places so that those in need, regardless of income and without any qualifiers,
can help themselves.
In fall of 2010, Chase the Chill began hanging scarfs on trees, bridges walkways, signs, and other public locations in Easton, PA. Each scarf included a hang-tag inviting anyone to claim ownership of the scarf.
Scarves will be taken down before dark and donated to local shelters and street teams who do great things within our community every day.
There are about 2,500 homeless citizens in our town so bring your shining face, your family, and friends, and ALL THE SCARVES YOU CAN GATHER!! We will have hang-tags on site. Make sure to share the event on Facebook and invite your friends! Hope to see you there!!
**The date is set for January 31st for consistency as this is the same date and time as last yrs event. If you'd like to donate items sooner than January there are street teams out everyday. For example 12/15/15 the Every Other Tuesday Food Share will be at Friemann Square at 7pm with a free hot meal and warm clothes. Food Not Bombs is at Freimann Square every Sunday at 2pm rain or shine. Anyone is encouraged to get involved not only with this event but within the community everyday.
