For the Love of God | John Dickson Public Talk

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD: How the Church is BETTER + WORSE than you ever imagined.

The atheist Christopher Hitchens famously wrote that “Religion poisons everything”. And increasingly across the Western world, people are coming to think of Christianity not just as outdated and irrational but as actively

harmful. How are Christians to respond?

Join John Dickson from the Centre for Public Christianity (CPX) as he weighs up the influence Christianity has had on the world, and offers a way forward in engaging with those disillusioned by the failures of the church.

No RSVP is necessary, but a gold coin donation would be appreciated to help cover costs.

JOHN started out as a singer-songwriter, but he now works as a writer, speaker, historian of religion, media presenter, Anglican minister and founding director of a multi-media think-tank, the Centre for Public Christianity (CPX). John has written more than a dozen books and appears regularly in the media promoting ‘thoughtful Christianity’. He has also presented two historical documentaries which were shown on commercial television: The Christ Files and Life of Jesus.
