This is a year long course with 8 events in total which will take place on sunday afternoons roughly every 6 weeks. These can be booked as a complete course or individually.
'Fauns and Fairies' is a special theme course which focuses on plant activities throughout. The activities will be playful, but
also practical. The children will do fun games and crafts having to do with plants. They will learn to identify some useful plants, forage, prepare food with them, and make plant medicines like infused oils and ointments. They will hear stories about plant spirits, tree dryads, the celtic 'Sidhe Draoi' and some more modern stories about plants and their spirits, too. They will learn a conscious and respectful approach with plants and learn to see them as living beings. All events will center around the 8 festivals of the year and incorporate their basic theme. Every time we will also share a picnic at the end of the session.
The course is a family event and aimed at children between 3 and 7 years of age, but younger children are welcome to join in if looked after by their parents or older siblings. Children have to be accompanied by a parent (or both). Please, book with me, if you are interested, and let me know with how many people you will be attending.
