This housing and real estate industry professional event

will provide perspectives, solutions and an overview of the homeownership gap that exists in Minnesota, specific to the African American community and New Immigrant communities. Cultural context will be provided on common institutional and personal barriers to homeownership through industry expert panel discussion. Additionally, detail of the Fair Housing Act of 1968 will be provided with additional context of many other protective acts that followed - CRA, Fair Lending, Equal Credit Opportunity Action, HMDA. The course includes a panel of discussion on issues related to these topics and MN Housing will provide information on down payment assistance.
