CLASS DESCRIPTION: Explore
color theory, composition, and art history while being encouraged to find your personal style. Enjoy informal class critiques in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Students will create one watercolor painting per class. Prior experience with watercolors is recommended.
INSTRUCTOR : Kathleen Zimbicki
Pittsburgh Watercolor Society member, gallery founder, artist, arts advocate, and teacher, She has devoted half a century to creating and promoting art. As a teacher she has attracted a following of beginner and advanced artists. She has taught at The Pittsburgh, Center for Arts, Touchstone Center for Crafts, Carnegie Mellon University, Sweetwater Center for the Arts, and the Jewish Community Center. She has also been a visiting artist and teacher in Barcelona, Spain and Le Pouldu, France.
SKILL LEVEL Intermediate to Experienced

MATERIALS NEEDED Please bring the following materials with you. (Materials may be purchased prior to class at art supply stores, such as Artist & Craftsman Supply, Dick Blick, Top Notch, Michaels, Pat Catan's and larger JoAnn Fabrics stores, or online at any of the above stores, Jerry's Artarama, Utrecht...)
Bring your brushes, 140lb watercolor paper, paints, water plastic container, and pencil. We will discuss additional materials at the first class.
