Erkki Veltheim is one of the most talented musicians working on the international stage today. His compositions have been commissioned by the Adelaide Festival, Vivid Festival, Australian Art Orchestra, and Soundstream Collective, and performed by groups such as the London Sinfonietta, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, the Australian Art Orchestra, the Australian Chamber Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, Elision, and Ensemble Modern. His virtuosic violin playing has been featured in solos with the London Sinfonietta, Opera Australia, and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
Although they have known and worked with each other in various configurations for years, this duo collaboration between Erkki and Jon is a first.
