Join the Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter for a day of fun-filled, earth-loving activities for Earth Day 2018! From 10 am to 4 pm we will be partnering with other local organizations to provide an exciting assortment of activities like family hikes, recycling service projects, tree loving, and green energy
displays at the Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter.
Earth Day! schedule:
All Day (10 am - 4 pm) | Earth/nature focused touch tables, crafts, and hands-on activities. Information tables and displays from ReLEAF UTAH, Green Energy Advocates, Summit Community Power Works, and the Natural History Museum of Utah.
10 - 11:30 am | Join Recycle Utah in picking up trash that has made its way onto the Preserve. Learn about what can and cannot be recycled while making Earth a cleaner, healthier place. Remember to bring work gloves, sturdy footwear, and to dress for the weather.
12 pm & 2 pm | Head out onto to Preserve with the Natural History Museum of Utah to learn how to use iNaturalist, a website/app where you can record and identify what you see in nature, meet other nature lovers, and learn about the natural world.
12 - 4 pm | Help the Kimball Art Center to create a wetland ecosystem out of clay by adding to it with your own creations! Stop by their station in the EcoCenter anytime between 12 and 4 to add to this fun piece of art.
1 -3 pm | Make a delicious & nutritious smoothie on one of EATS Park City's blender bikes! Learn about how healthy eating is good for both you and the earth while making a purely human-powered snack!
