Laurie spent a good part of her life giving back to her community. She was involved in Kiwanis, United Way, Hope Hospice, church youth groups, and the Medford reads program to name a few. After a 7+ year battle with cancer she bravely allowed nature to take its course. She even request that instead of
buying flowers for her funeral to donate to charity in her memory.
I can't think of a better way to celebrate her life than to see people donate in her memory.
Weather it is a cash donation to a local charity, or donating baked goods for a fund raiser, or donating time at a soup kitchen feeding the homeless, even helping a little old lady cross the street. Do it in Laurie's memory!
After a year I will compile a total of donations and hours and have a small graveside service in her honor.
For a woman of small stature she left a large footprint and a positive influence on many people. Please share this event and spread her memory.
