Dominican Commercial H.S. Tribute

Dear Alumna:

“Dominican stands ever fair in towering majesty. Queen of the host of learning, long years may she ever be…….”

On Sunday, April 22, 2018, between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., we invite the proud graduates of Dominican Commercial High School to a DC Tribute.

As many of you

know, the property is being sold and we are being afforded the opportunity to reminisce and walk the halls again. So please join us for this tribute and spread the word to as many DC graduates as you can. While it is a great time to remember our high school, it is also a great time to pay tribute to the wonderful Sisters, who provided us with a sound education.

Although the sale of the school will help pay the escalating health-care costs of the Sisters in their final years, and also allow active Sisters to continue working in their ministries, the Sisters could still benefit from our support.

Please consider making a gift in the amount of your year of graduation (i.e. Class of 1980 = $19.80). All gifts will be very much appreciated. You can make your gift on line if you’d like and to do so visit: https://www.sistersofstdominic.org/donate. In the note section please include that your gift is in honor of the DC tribute event. You can also send a donation via mail (please make check payable to “The Sisters of St. Dominic) and forward to:

The Sisters of St. Dominic
Advancement Office
555 Albany Avenue
Amityville, NY 11701

Whatever you choose, we hope that you choose to come join us on April 22nd, for some laughter, good memories, light refreshments, and bidding a fond farewell to a place that we will forever hold dear in our hearts.

If you are planning to attend please RSVP by April 1st, so that we can plan accordingly, via this page or if you have questions feel free to contact me: cathleenquinn@optonline.net.

May we “Crown her with wreaths of laurel as we sing to her our praises, Dominican alma mater, pride of our high school days.”

Looking forward to seeing you there,
Cathy Burke-Quinn, ‘70
