The ability to perceive or think differently
is more important than the knowledge gained.
This is a weekend retreat at East Down in the heart of the Devonshire countryside.
The theme of the retreat is around consciousness, spirituality and connection. Taking inspiration from the perennial
philosophy (everything from Advaita to Zen), we have a weekends space to explore these ideas and examine how they can enhance our connection with ourselves and others.
The retreat is not led by a particular teacher, rather the content is put together by the participants. Attendees may suggest exercises and presentations around the central theme. This gives everyone a chance to benefit from the collective wisdom other others, as well as a space to try out ideas they're developing in front of a receptive audience.
In previous years we've had exercises on conscious communication based on the work of David Bohm. We've done introspective meditations for mental and physical healing, had examples of energy work and a demonstration of play therapy. We've also had discussions on spirituality, the nature of consciousness and the suggested relationship with quantum physics.
If the idea of this kind of open and shared enquiry appeals to you then do get in touch for more details.
