Then you could benefit from taking this mindfulness course.
Mindfulness is about learning to become more present focused. So why is this important? Left to itself the mind wanders through all kinds of thoughts — including thoughts which for example express anxiety, worry, anger, criticism, self-doubt, sadness and guilt . As we get caught up in these kinds of thoughts we reinforce emotions in our hearts and cause ourselves to suffer. Mostly these thoughts are about the past or future. The past no longer exists. The future is only a fantasy until it happens. The one moment we actually can experience — the present moment — is the one we seem most to avoid.
In this course you will learn new skills and techniques that will create lasting change in your perspective as well as actual change in the make up of the brain that has been proven to reduce stress and anxiety and improve mood, concentration, relationships and creativity. Through a series of discussions, interactive presentations and practical exercises you will learn to let go of the past and let the future to unfold, leading to a life of increased peace and wellbeing.
This course is based on the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction programme, the most established and recognised mindfulness course - designed and tested by psychologists throughout the world.
Taught by a certified MBSR teacher and psychotherapist.
With Jessica Bigogno, Psychotherapist and Mindfulness Teacher.
Jessica is licensed with a degree in Psychology from the University of West London and a Masters in the Clinical Practice of Mental Health from the AEPCCC in Barcelona. She is also a qualified mindfulness teacher and NLP practitioner.
She has worked as a psychotherapist with individuals in English and Spanish for several years. For the last two years she has also been giving group courses and workshops in mindfulness in Barcelona in English.
