Club Dive - Ammo Jetty

Please note in order to ensure who is attending all divers are require to book in via the store Call 95352047. We do require a minimum number of 4 divers in order to run the dive. Ammo Jetty is located within the Woodman Point Regional park which is approximately 9km south of Fremantle. We meet at the

end of Nyyerbup Circuit in the Car Park to the right. This is a first-class recreation area catering for a large number of people and is a great place for social gatherings and picnics. The dive site is the old ‘ammunitions’ jetty from back in the days when it was part of the Quarantine Station and ammunition store. It extends about 100 meters out from the beach and is one of Perth's more popular dive sites. It is an easy dive, although visibility can be limited at times. The marine life here can be extensive and it includes the likes of crayfish, moray eel, occy’s, squid, decorator crab, rays, a variety of nudis and plenty of colour so bring a camera and torch. As this is an active fishing jetty so it pays to stay under the jetty in order to avoid fishing lines and other potential entanglement issues. This jetty is also condemned so it is best you remain situationally aware at all times. There are a number of the fallen pylon’s around the site now leaning against others. It is good practice to avoid swimming underneath them. The site is best dived on the flood tide for cleaner water. Max depth on this site is around 9m. This dive is free so please click the attending button if you wish to join us. If you require equipment, please call the store in advance to make arrangements and to pay any associated costs. Your DM for this dive will be Dean
