The Quebec Writers’ Federation is extremely excited to announce the launch of our second annual QWF Literary Prize for Young Writers! The Prize is supported by Champlain, Dawson, Heritage, John Abbott, and Vanier Colleges and the Conseil des arts de Montréal.
The Prize shines a spotlight on Quebec’s
exciting emerging writers. We’re looking for work published in all types of outlets, including school newspapers, community blogs, and CEGEP and university journals, as long as there is a selection process involved.
Submissions are open from now until June 15th and writers must be residents of Quebec between ages 16 and 24. Submitted works must have been written in English and published in a literary publication in 2017. The grand prize is $1000 and republication in carte blanche (carte-blanche.org) if the rights are available.
Works can be submitted here: https://qwf.submittable.com/submit/110602/the-2018-qwf-literary-prize-for-young-writers
