You are invited to an evening in support of Alzheimer’s research on March 24, 2018, featuring Balsam Range, the International Bluegrass Music Awards Vocal Group of the Year for 2014 and 2015 and Album of the Year Award winner for their 2017 album “Mountain Voodoo.” Along with an exceptional evening
of music and entertainment, all proceeds from the concert will go to the Coins for Alzheimer’s Research Trust (CART) Fund, a program of the Rotary Clubs of North America.
Balsam Range boasts outstanding acoustic musicians and singers who hail from Haywood County in Western North Carolina. Infused with elements of jazz, country, gospel, swing and old-time music, the five distinct and extremely talented members generate a remarkable spirited and energetic sound. The band will be taking the stage at the Carteret Community Theater, downtown Morehead at 7 pm.
The CART Fund is chartered as a nonprofit organization with one hundred percent (100%) of donated funds used for cutting edge Alzheimer’s disease research. It is governed by a Board of Trustees composed of representatives from the Rotary districts that support the program and is a 501(C)3 organization. As of May 2016, the CART Fund has awarded $5.8 million dollars in 34 grants to recognized U.S. research institutions. All administrative expenses of the fund are paid from interest earned from invested contributions.
Tickets are available online at www.carteretcommunitytheatre.com. Advanced tickets sales are $40 - $50 + fees and NC sales tax. The evening of the performance, prices increase to $45 - $55 + fees and NC sales tax.
