Everyone agrees that the cornerstone of a strong community is strong public education. Education impacts families who already live here, and it impacts the decisions of those who work here and choose not to live here. That's why Education is one of the pillars of Believe Greater Dalton.
that our local educational attainment is among the lowest in the country. Research also shows that addressing this issue over the long term requires the entire community come together and support our public education systems.
Believe Greater Dalton calls for our community to do this by creating an education partnership that aligns Greater Dalton's talent pipeline. This partnership will focus directly on educational attainment and skill sets for all students. Believe Greater Dalton proposes implementing the Strive model of collective impact to help us achieve our goals.
We're excited to invite you to join us at The Wink on April 9 at 5:30pm to learn more about the Strive model. We're pleased to welcome Representative Monroe Nichols, who successfully created a similar education partnership in Tulsa, OK, at www.impacttulsa.org/.
Come hear how Monroe's experience can help ensure our community's collective efforts can be aligned toward boosting student success through the creation of a successful education partnership.
