Bring the kids on an after-school adventure on one of the Marlborough Downs Bee Friendly Farms!
A chance for the children and their families to meet the farm animals including the White Park Cattle and Boar Goats, and learn about how they're helping with wildlife conservation. We will then have a gentle
stroll around the farmland (buggies welcome) looking at what food crops we are growing in our fields, and how these crops are harvested and processed to make the food on our table (interactive game). We will then look at the perimeters of the fields, the field margins, and try and catch some of our all-important pollinators as they move between crop and margin. And to finish our afternoon, we will make scotch pancakes in the great outdoors with a gas stove, or in a barn if weather isn’t agreeable.
Booking essential - all children must be accompanied by an adult; maximum 30 children. Meeting point will be given on booking.
Please wear suitable footwear and appropriate clothing for the weather
All Space for Nature events are free to attend, but as we no longer receive Defra funding we ask that you make a donation to enable us to continue our work.
