In 1946 students at the University of Alberta envisioned a celebration of Agriculture on campus. A simple barn dance was seen as a way to cross all boundaries and rivalries created by the diversity of faculties, clubs, and fraternities and thus “Bar No One” from taking part in this rural based social event. Today, the U of A is still host to one of the largest student-run country cabarets, and celebrations of agriculture across the prairies.
In the last 24 years, with help from our sponsors, we have raised over $169,000 for STARS Air Ambulance!
