The band Ashton Lane was formed after

singer songwriter Esther Duffin met her now husband Tim O’Connor at one of her solo gigs down a cobbled St in Glasgow (also called Ashton Lane).

Their creative partnership, as well their connection over what they value in life was immediately obvious and the street where they met seemed like the perfect name for their band.

Esther O’Connor’s musical heritage however spans right back to her childhood. She remembers being out on tour at only 5 years of age with Elton John on this US tour accompanying her Dad’s band Wet Wet Wet. “The feeling of the live show’s and the love of traveling got under my skin very early” says O’Connor. “I loved everything from the hotels, to turning up early in the venue for the sound checks and the catering. It was all great fun from start to finish, and I definitely got bitten by the bug!”.

Soon after Esther and Tim married, they established their record label “Redhed Records” and 2015 see’s the couple release their 5th studio album on their own label. They perform regularly as a duo and at times as a 3 piece when Graeme Duffin (Wet Wet Wet guitarist) joins them as guest guitarist.

Having toured the length and breadth of the UK, gigged in Nashville Tenessee, and extensively round Europe. Ashton Lane have also achieve considerable success online with over 1.5 million views of their youtube “Kitchen Sessions”, over 40,000 twitter followers and a large following of dedicated fans. Ashton Lane are part of a new wave of homegrown modern country music originating in the UK… Watch out for their new album September 2015.
