This afterschool program is geared for children ages 4 to 13 who would like to participate in a fun and creative program after school. Let’s get our hands dirty and get inspired. This program provides an introduction to a variety of art mediums and techniques. We will be working with paint, drawing, scrapbooking, wood, collages and more. Having fun and getting dirty, without parents having to worry about a mess in their home. Plus it is tax deductible!

Children will host an Art Gallery evening to show case their creations to their family and friends. More details to follow.
Terms & Conditions:
It is highly recommended that students dress appropriately for the art classes, meaning that the clothes would be ok to get dirty. They either need clothes that can get dirty or a smock or large old button up shirt to cover clothes (Grandpa’s or Dad’s shirts work great). GSIB will not be responsible for the damaged or dirty clothes.
The Art Class will host an art show at the end of the Spring Session, where student works will be put on display for students and their parents – as well as general public – to enjoy. All artworks will be returned to the parents or adult students at the end of the show.
Please note that at GSIB we occasionally take photographs of our artists and the work in progress. We use photographs in advertising to promote GSIB events. Please let us know if you have any concern associated with this initiative.
Unless otherwise noted, all supplies are included in the program fee. We will not object if parents wish to supply their students with their own supplies, but we cannot offer any reduction in cost of classes due to students having their own supplies.
Once the student enrolment is confirmed, the payments are non-refundable. We offer make-up lessons for classes missed due to illness or other family circumstances. Please let us know at least 12 hours in advance if the student will be missing their class.
Please be sure your child is at their class time on time and picked up promptly at the end of class as our next class will begin.
Classes will be held in Kelly's art room in her basement at her house. 38 Cloverdale Ave.
Did you know your art classes are tax-deductible? Many parents took advantage of the changes in Canadian tax law that made possible to deduct amounts spent on art education up to $500 in 2012
