Join us for a scenic run through the paths of Hopkinton State Park. The course starts with an incline just over 100ft of elevation and drops off with a steady decline just before mile 1. The majority of the course runs along asphalt roads throughout the park. There is a section of trail running combining
grassy terrain and a rocky climb. Just before the finish the course path narrows slightly for runners to run across a bridge over a body of water at the dam within the park. A short stretch of beach prior to crossing the finish line and a grand finish to support an excellent cause!
Please join us in support of Advocates a non-profit human service agency helping to keep people living independently. It is estimated that in this country nearly 60 million people will experience severe emotional distress and mental health challenges resulting from various causes. One of the barriers to seeking and receiving the support needed during these experiences is fear: fear of being labeled, fear of being treated differently, fear of prejudice, and fear of a loss of autonomy.
This May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and on Saturday, May 7th we are holding our third annual 5K run/walk to share the message that a person experiencing these challenges is a
person, not a diagnosis. See the person! See the individual!
