Acting from your Imagination - Michael Chekhov Europe Training

For the first time in Lebanon
International Acting Workshop
with Ulrich Meyer-Horsch
11,12,14,15,16 May 2018
IESAV, Beirut, Lebanon

Body | Imagination | Emotion
The moving body creates endless images which are our most basic working

material on stage. In this workshop we will explore how we call up images from our imagination and use them to develop bold characters and scenes. We will learn how we can embody these images in our creative work, and how they affect the emotional life of the character.
The Chekhov Acting Technique provides actors with a variety of tools for characterization through transformation. We will explore how this transformation is anchored by Chekhov's most important contribution to the art of the actor – the Psychological Gesture.
For the purposes of the workshop participants are requested to prepare a 1-minute monologue in their own language.
This workshop consists the module 1 of the Michael Chekhov Europe Training Programme.
Please note that throughout the workshop, local directors will be visiting the classes for talent scouting purposes.
