On the 22nd of March 2015, Abdullah Kobayashi were scheduled to perform their third and most violent deathmatch to date alongside fellowing wrestling aficianados Eat The Turnbuckle, until threats from Glasgow City Council forced the show to be cancelled, making it the first deathmatch to be banned in
13 years since FMW's infamous Exploding Glass Cage Match.
Since then, Abdullah Kobayashi has battled long and hard with council officials to reschedule, despite fears for public safety and the possibility of obscenity charges as a result of the graphic, bloody violence which would have ensued. After eight long months, we are proud to announce that THE MATCH THE COUNCIL TRIED TO BAN IS ON!
At the 13th Note Coliseum in Glasgow in front of a capacity crowd, Abdullah Kobayashi welcomes his arch nemesis Young Akhbar into his NOISE KINGDOM as they battle in an Ultraviolent Japanoise Deathmatch as Kobayashi looks to right the wrong of his crippling loss to Young Akhbar when Akhbar clocked him with the GHC Ultraviolent World Heavyweight Japanoise Deathmatch Championship after referee Stuart Finnie refused to count the pin for Abdullah.
On the undercard will be a full cavalcade of experimental/avantgarde/noise artists as GLASGOW FACES OFF AGAINST NEWCASTLE IN A BATTLE ROYAL with the full card looking as such:
Ultraviolent Deathmatch Japanoise for fans of Merzbow, Masonna, Hanatarash, Atsushi Onita, Jun Kasai and Masato Tanaka
Drone from Duncan McLaren
Experimental Geordie vocal drone from the vocalist out of DM band Plague Rider
Fuck knows what this will be. It's Bobby from Wheelchairx4 and Nick Gaughan of Big Hogg/Herbert Powell/Good Patter/Ned Diss fame in an improv duo, so your guess is as good as mine.
Everyone's favourite Partick Thistle obsessed noise act returns to his roots for an intimate gig at the Note as he continues his ground breaking World Tour of famous arenas, stadiums and outdoor festivals at such venues as Hampden Park, the SECC, Barrowlands Ballroom and of course Firhill Stadium.
The end times in sonic form. Intense overwhelming soundscapes of doom.
MINISTRY OF ATTACK
An aural steelchair to the head from the Vilenoise crew.
First show from this new project. Expect cybergrinding harshness.
Set times etc. to follow.
