We are currently working and planning for the best Columbia Area Earth Day Festival ever!!! The event will be April 22nd (rain date is April 29) from 12-7pm.
There will be over 200 booths at the Street Fair - with many one-of-a-kind items that can't be found in stores! Check out ECO Ave, where you
will find great information on how to green up your lifestyle. Talk with solar experts, gardening experts, sustainability experts, and many more who will provide great information. You can even register for a workshop and get great details and free stuff! More details on workshops later.
We will have plenty of food this year with food courts on the end of 7th & 8th at Locust. Please help us to keep the area clean and create only a small footprint for a big festival! Recycling bins and trash cans will be abundant and even your food waste can be used! Let the folks from the city recycling helpers help you find the best place for your waste.
Peace Park will be the place for music and entertainment from 12-7! We will have something for everyone - grade school uke groups, dancers, great local bands and more! Kids will have great fun in the Kids Park on the south side of the park! Games, challenges, arts & crafts will be coordinated by our friends at Columbia Parks & Rec, Wild Folk Learning Community and the Center for Agroforestry at MU! Check out the tipi where stories from Indigenous culture will be read to children by the folks at Protectors of Water & Land at scheduled times throughout the day.
Come out for the whole day, put your blanket in the park and take your time to experience all aspects of the Columbia Area Earth Day Festival!
