One of the biggest events in our city's events and festivals programme; the Highland Council's bonfire and fireworks display at Bught Park attracts 15,000 - 20,000 spectators to the banks of the River Ness. The action gets underway at 18:00 with the opening of the funfair before the entertainment around
the bonfire commences at 19:00. The bonfire is lit by the Provost at 19:30 before there is a spectacular 20 minutes fireworks display by the award winning Fireworx Scotland display team commencing at 19:50. Spectators are reminded that there is only parking at the site for Disabled Drivers displaying Blue Badges and drivers are asked to use the City Centre Car Parks and allow themselves plenty of time to enjoy the walk to the site. Spectators are asked to note (and help us ensure) that no sparklers brought to the site.
