156th Battle Anniversary Living History Demonstrations

On Saturday, April 7, Shiloh will present large scale living history demonstrations on the battlefield. Living historians will demonstrate the tactics, drill, and firing procedures utilized by the infantry, cavalry, and artillery during the Civil War. This year will mark the largest grouping of cannon

on the battlefield for a demonstration. Three batteries of four guns each will be drilling and firing during the event making it the largest concentration of artillery in Duncan Field since 1862. A complete schedule of demonstrations is available at www.nps.gov/shil.
