In our 125th year as part of a weekend of celebrations the Scoiety will host a day trip around Perthshire, visiting historic sites of interest.
- The Black Watch Castle & Museum - with links to the Clan MacLeod via the 23rd Chief (who was Colonel of the 73rd Regiment) and Iain Breac (who
is commemorated at the Museum).
- Hunting Tower Castle - the Red Man's mother came to live here after the death of her husband in 1706.
- Murthly Castle - Anne Murray's second husband was Fortheringham, whose family later owned the castle.
- Dunkeld Cathedral - the seat of the first Bishopric in Scotland.
