10th Annual Philly Tweed Ride

The LEISURELY ride is open to all ages. We don our Tweed and ride our bikes through historic Philadelphia. Stopping halfway for a picnic lunch.

The ride is designed to be easy and leisurely, gentlemen even smoke a pipe sometimes. The picnic at the halfway mark is byo. People set up blankets, have china,

silverware and bubbly or tea. Others simply go with a cheese plate. YOU decide, but we do give out prizes for the best spread!

You can ride ANY bike. Many ride vintage single speeds, others ride a modern steed. You can even get one from Indego (a bike rental company with stations all over the city). One of our sponsors Trophy Bikes would be a great place to take your bike for a tune up. Stop by there a few weeks ahead of time and get your steed looked over so it's ready for the fun.

Your Tweed attire can be had for very little money. Last year our co-host, Jill, fitted her outfit for about $25 from local thrift stores. We also have ride sponsors like Ransome & Gwynn that can help you take it up a notch.
